There is hope, to the OP Tatz.... Can you post pictures of your "slammed 65 VW street sweeper" here?
    That would be great.
    That should do it.

Here's a bunny. It has slightly more relevance to this forum than this thread does.

I'm a cheater - I usually trailer it to a car wash, or in the event it's on a rollback, bribe the driver to make a pit stop, and I wash his truck, too!

10' of dirt, I'd probably get within a couple foot with a shovel or something first.

So the moderators took a well deserved fathers day break and let the hoodlums blow off some steam, and all they did was jump on a ridiculous thread and have some fun. I'm impressed. Thanks Mods! :)

You can not make some people be nice. They can't help it and it usually goes back to a bad childhood. If you really think about the original question it was not a bad one. If asked like this he probably would have different answers. Car has been in storage for many years covered in dust. Is there any recommendations to get the dust off and do the least damage to the paint?

But it is sad when you have to think real hard how to pose a question so that you don't rub somebody the wrong way. PS have a great day and I think it is cool that you pulled the old Buick out of the dark and into the light

Dynaflash you are correct I just wanted some short real recommendations and now it has turned into whatever this is. I appreciate the positive comment and will be posting more about her in the future. It's all about the car when we get down to it

  12. Glad you are not taking all the kindergarteners too seriously. Enjoy your car. Welcome to the HAMB.

  13. You get what you sew,,you consider the reply s juvenile,,exactly what would you expect from a childish question.

The question has been answered over and over,,repeatedly and after a while it got ridicules, ludicrous and just totally irresistible to snipe the OP with good spirited humored ,,,this thread has taken on a life of it's own for some unknown reason while others go up in flames.

Oh,and by the way,,I did have a rough childhood!:D HRP

  16. Hey Tatzandrodz,
You might want to show off your barn find with another thread. If you put it up on this one no one may take notice!
BTW all this chaos will be good for toughening your hide up. Around here you're gonna need it.....here, I brought you a beer....

The HAMB does have thousands of good threads and good people.

I just got back from HOT ROD POWER TOUR and met many of them. Thanks to all for the info and help both in person to person and on the pages of the HAMB. I am the first to admit that I have a lot to learn. This is my hobby and not how I make a living so I probably ask some dumb questions as well. I am not interested in hijacking this tread but I would like to learn how to buff out a car without fear of damaging the paint. I was hoping that would become part of this thread. Have a great evening to all

Vacuuming the car off using the "Barn dust" vacuum attachment usually works for me.
