I'd heard about the site but never had a look until I was searching for some Fairlane pics on Google and noticed that you guys had a few on here. Mines a 66 GTA (in avatar). It's a 390 "S" code car, currently residing at the body/paint shop for a makeover.
Welcome aboard 547beast. The HAMB is to celebrate 1965 and earlier rods and customs - done in a traditional style. Don't get disheartened if too many people don't break out the fireworks for your 66 Fairlane - it's a cool car, but there'll be a bunch of people on here who will jump all over you. If you're looking for some great build threads for hot rods, you've come to the right place, so enjoy yourself. Cheers.
No worries. I'm starting to think that I shouldn't have even mentioned that I had a car, but it's too late for that. If there is someone out there that is that is so caught up in internet etiquette that they feel as though they have to teach me a lesson for owning a 1966 model car, have at it. I've got unbelievably thick skin. I love old cars. That's why I'm here. I can appreciate what the guys here have done, and they have their rules. It's their site. I'm a guest in it. I get it. Thanks to everybody for the welcome, and the warnings
Welcome from another Ozzie. Where are you based? I had a 66 GTA convertible many years ago. Great car that I had to convert to RHD to get registered as it wasn't 30yrs old at the time.
Grafton. 3hrs south of you. It's nice that we don't have to do the RHD thing these days. One of the very few things that the RTA has done right.
