Ok, so I'm on craigslist looking at junk and cars I don't need and stumble across this dual blower set up with two wash bowls on top and I'm thinking how is this possible or better yet how can i make this possible. The manifold was made here in Austin by a mad machinist or at least a visionary. I'm super impresed by the craftsman ship but how can this work? What compression, boost, carbs, cam etc. Ill post some pics and the link. Enjoy brainstorming and dreaming what you would stuff this boheameth into as I've been doing for the last 24.

Looks to me like the S/C's have been adapted to a cross ram manifold.

I agree on having one big huffer but its still kinda cool looking. Saw some pics with them in a car/truck and looks kinda gay but none the less on the table it still looks neat. Reminds me of tractor pull motors which look way cooler than on a car.

I've seen one blower stacked on top of another blower. Stupid looking to say the least.

Blowers are belt driven just underdrive them and it would work, and those look like tiny blowers anyway.

What I want to see is a motor reverse cammed to breath in thru the exhaust ports and out thru the intake with a pair of huffers on both sided of it!!

  18. Aw man that car was AWESOME!!!!!!

  19. If you lost those carbs. That set up (as is) wouldnt run for crap.

I like goofy stuff,if it were me and I would entertain the idea.
Make up two 2 groove v style pulleys out of 7075 and run 2 stomberg adapters from vintage speed on each blower.4 carbs in total.
This on a open wheel car 60s styled=way cool.
    Do it.

  22. This makes me think of the AMT... was it the '53 Stude kit or the '62 Vette kit.. or both? One of them had a triangle-shaped intake for the big motor option, that took two 6-71s on it. Fortunately being 1/25th scale plastic, you didn't have to worry about if it would run or not.

  23. Were they ever installed on something and did that something ever run?...Anybody?

  25. I think it's cool. Except the carbs
I've got some pics from the 1960s someplace of 2 671s being fitted to a Tee-pee looking manifold.

Someplace on the interweb is lots more dual blower setups.

i've seen twin blowers on small and big block chevy powered t-buckets, but not like that. didn't the early b&m 4-71's have a plate to bolt to a stock intake? maybe two of them.

As others have said, the craigslist setup is sitting on an aftermarket cross ram (edelbroke smokey ram or offy)

Paul Gommi ran a dual 6-71 setup in his dragster and in his (street) rod.

I think those blowers are on a late model Chevy fuel injection intake from the 80's, with a new top fabbed for it. I've seen several vehicles with twin blowers, but usually mounted at 45 degrees, with a triangle shaped intake to allow the blowers to sit side by side, and then the carbs mounted vertically at 45 degrees to the blowers so the floats work.
There's a guy I know here locally who has a Tri 5 Chevy truck with twin 6-71 blowers.
