I'm guessing that the truck is a deuce-and-a half. Interesting modified cab. A very cool homemade rig. The observation platform on the trailer roof was something that used to be more common in custom campers than it is now.

Great pics of Pt Alberni. Many a logger went on a drunk in the Somass hotel. One of them died one night when he bled out after hitting his head on a night table.
Then in later years lots of guys enjoyed watching the dancing girls at the Pink Panther in the basement. Known locally as the Stinky Pinky of course.

This was posed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. Note the swans in the background that were there for many years. Some modifications were done to the water area a couple of years ago and the swans are no longer there.

    Auto Rally 1909
A group of mostly female motorists gathered before the fountain at the Albright Art Gallery c. 1909. The photo appeared in the catalog of the Babcock Automobile Company of Buffalo. They were sitting in a style called the "stanhope" (also manufactured by other companies) which featured a single bench seat, folding cloth top, front buckboard, and tiller steering. A 1904 Buffalo stanhope cost $1640 ($33, 864 in 2005 dollars). At this stage in automobile manufacturing, all vehicles were purchased by the wealthy.
