Hey, I've got absolutely nothing against more Caddy pics - I just love my 60 Series 62 Coupe - it's a work of art, and the full-size luxury GM cars are just so well detailed in their styling - Harley Earl and his team certainly had a good eye and knew how to make a car pretty.

One of my best friends Dave with his first car! Summer of 67 16 years old. Purchased the car from an Air Force guy stationed at Paine Field in Everett WA. Dave now has a really nice 57, we have a blast rolling around in our tri fives. If the pic ends being to small maybe one of you internet wizards can jimmy it? I'm to dumb!

Logging, Fishing, SawMills, Plywoood Plant, Paper Mills. At one time in the 1960's, Port Alberni, B.C. along with Windsor, Ontario ( auto manufacturing) had the highest per capita income in Canada. Now we are near the bottom.
That being said, the city has changed and will survive. One thing though that has not changed, is the car culture. It's still alive & well! From still having the last survivng car hop burger joint (the famous J & L Drive In) and another being opened in a couple of weeks. To hosting 5 car shows, and where else would you shut down your airport for 2 1/2 days in August to hold a great drag race event called "Thunder in the Valley!!

An earthquake in Alaska caused a Tsunami, Good Friday 1964, which hit Port Alberni. Luckily no one was killed, but it did cause millions of dollars in flood damge.

 

That's Rock Hudson and Bobby Darin on the other scooter. I believe Sophia Loren on back of Rocks scooter. I saw that movie on tv once.
