50 Spartanette Forgive my ignorance . Is it a Diamond Reo on a newer frame ? And is it a camper , work truck , tow truck ??
aw1950 the cab is a Diamond T (a 1952... before the merger with REO) but yes to all the other Q`s i used a "modern" MDT chassis mainly for the reason that she is my long distance limo, camper, vintage trailer towpig, dog hauler, crane truck, engine hoist, building supply hauler, ... lol btw; the crane is just for "around the yard" work. it can be removed in a couple minutes here she is at work setting up a solar array ; she is not exactly HAMB friendly , but i like traditional style hotrods and this website (and hope to build a trad rod in the near future)
What a cool thread. This is actually from August of last year, I don't seem to have any in June. Here is today. Not exactly HAMB material but I learn a lot from you guys
Thanks, patina stays for now, built the car wtih everything finished and painted to the point where I can paint the body without having to blow the whole car apart. Already prepping for the next build so now I am just driving the caddy as much as I can, 700 miles so far in the last month.
I saw this thread and thought it would be cool to go through my pics and see where I was a year ago.... Man where does time go!!!?? I need to get my ass in gear! I have been working on this thing off and on for almost two years now.... WTF. Here is my car almost exactly 1 year ago then and now. I still have some of the same shit on my shelves in the background... HAHA -Dane
Alright I'll play. A year ago in two days, looking threw my build thread it looks like the front suspension was going back in, it was 107 deg and we were thrashing in an attempt to make kkoa Now a year later its got maybe 2700 ish miles on it if I were to guess, it made it to the wedding thankfully and now we are getting it sorted and packed up for our move south! Hopefully it'll make kkoa this year *im packing things into the car not packing the car itself Posted using My Dick Tracey watch and the full custom HAMB app
All you guys are awesome! I want to crawl in a hole. Guess I'll have to dust the toolbox and get back at it.
50 Spartanette cool old truck to say the least . You are making good use of it . Traditional rod ? Anything particular in mind?
We all stall on our projects from time to time . Don't give up its looking like its going to be a sharp looking Kustom Ford . Thanks for posting , Andy.
Well thats a lot better . Whats with these guys putting that psychedelic crap all over these types of cars . Keep that stuff for the period correct Kustoms . Good job John
