I have a similar column drop. I built a gauge mount that follows the contour of the tank out of sheet aluminum, polished it and put a 4k tach on the left and a water pressure on the right. The light switch is to the left of the column and an identical wiper switch to the right. I will put an oil pressure in the left and move the tach to a Sun bucket when I find one with a low rpm tach. BTW, The hole in the middle of the F1 steering is the same and I think you could adapt a switch down there, but I could never find the parts cheap enough so I went this way.

  4. hotrodderhaag, I've enjoyed following along with your build. I love the car and how you've put it together. Also, wanted to mention the newest edition of Street Rodder magazine has an article on a similar supercharger to yours. I haven't read the whole thing but thought you might find it interesting.

    Hivolt,
Thank you! The car came together well. There are always alot better car builders out there, but I'm happy with mine. I have till the day I die to improve it. I bought the magazine last week .. Good article.waiting on part two.

Well it's alive! Runs very poor under a load due to no vacuum brake for the dist. It's not as critical on a new crab style. But very much on the helmet style . Once the adapter comes it will run perfect. But it stops great and needs a slight alignment. But I finally drove it!!

Installed carb adapter for vacuum. Worked good, spun the tires leaving the driveway, ran right up to 65 all the way into town. Headed home and engine was at full temp, started running bad. Still trying to figure that one out

If it's running bad when hot, good once cooled off, I would suspect coil.

I bought that coil adapter , I got a good deal on it. But I'm gonna try swapping out the factory coil for a good spare I have . See what happens. Condenser is next

Found the issue , leaking condenser and also a bad advance brake spring. Some one cut it down. Car runs excellent. Test drive tomorrow will really show the results , but so far so good ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1371094637.551979.jpg

I'm sure my neighbors love me. A few hole shots in the driveway last night really showed me the car seems to run great. If its not pouring down rain ill have a good test run video.

Installed the gauge pod today, also I received my coil adapter kit . I'm going to try to stick with the factory helmet coil , so this kit will be a back up

Still have not received any word that my dizzy is done . Looks like the Fourth of July isn't Happening. Wonderful.
I shoved the car back into the corner of the garage and threw a cover over it.. Maybe she will see the highway next summer.

    Awesome good luck

  27. There is a lubrication fitting by the drive pulley on the blower. Do you fill that with grease or oil? What is the required quantity?

    Thanks

That's not a lube fitting. That is a breather vent for the blower housing... It is supposed to have a round canister style breather with a screen in it..
