'64 El Camino Engine Numbers

    All:

    I have a buddy Dave, that has a '64 El Camino and wants to identify his engine. He can't get to the casting numbers at the rear of the block, but he's got the numbers off the front pad.

    C4J160232 V0506TMM

    Can anyone please help him out? Is it even possible to ID the engine from these numbers?
     
  2. looks like a chevy pickup engine - probably 1980 I think

    Thanks. I did make an incorrect assumption when I said El Camino, Dave later told me it was a '64 C10.

    No other details of the engine?
