Any information on the location of this dealership? Don Lee was an early distributor & dealer for Cadillac in California.

 

is this Tommy Lee farther? never seen a pics of there dealership.

 

Does anyone know about that '39 Chev , look at the length of the rear door . Never seen that before.

 

Don Lee (1880-1934) was a very successful Los Angeles-based distributor of Cadillac automobiles and in the 1920's also developed a radio broadcasting network. Don died in 1934 and control of the businesses was taken by Don's son Thomas (Tommy) Lee (1906-1950).

1967 was the only year that had both a 283 and a 350.

 

That might be a sedan-ambulance. The idea was that the doctor would drive it as his regular car, say for house calls. It wouldn't have any markings or lights like an ambulance.

Some have a removable B pillar like the Cadillac below.


Or the B pillar might be rigid like this DeSoto.

 

I ran the serial number through the USAF Serial Number site and got this:
