Anywhere there are boats, there are upholstery shops that do boat interiors and those boat guys like their 'flake inside as well as out.
HOLY CRAP! $27.00 per yard.... Glad I saved a few rolls from the sixties. When I was in the trim business. Cost $3.59 back then.. Just finished a re-do of my old Bird engineering "T". Electric yellow body, Fushia Zodiac pleat interior. Really sparkles in the sun. Sixties-seventies style The Zodiac is much better material than the sparkle. Thicker better backing and easier to work with
Mesa sales, 1/4 mile east of Gilbert on Main, south side of the road. I just bought the last of the red for my T when I was there but they said they were ordering more. Still had silver, green, gold, black and one other that I can't remember. If you must have it, I have I think two yards of blue. Price at Mesa sales is 18.95/yard Dave
Hi there.I live in so cal and close to a shop that has alot of zodiac/metal flake materials.I can get alot of the colors for about 15.00 a yard.Just about any color......
I done the interior of my truck with the Zodiac and it faded in about two months. I ask about it and was told it is not treated for sunlight. At 22.00 a yard you would think it would hold up.
An update on where to get Meal Flake Vinyl. I was in a warehouse the other day and got the tour. Anyways they have a selection of colors and it sells for $17.00 a yard. The company is IDC., Inc. in Duncan South Carolina. (866) 585-8365 or (864) 485-0042. I asked if they ship and they do anywhere in the US. They also have Crocodile, Alligator, snake, and vireos other real and make beleave materials. I'm into some of this new carbon fiber material for a non HAMB project that I'm working on and had a chance to check out their inventory.
Here's where I got mine. It's the best! Yea, it's $29.99 a yard, but it's heavy, tear resistant and water proof. Go to their website and search, "Zodiac". http://www.diyupholsterysupply.com/mm5/merchant.mvc? Here it is in my T.
