I've thought about posting a pic of one of my cars sitting in my front yard, but looking at some of the post about a similar car just sitting, I'm not sure I want to.

Seems I may piss off a whole lot of people.

^^^Good Lord! Any info on who made that? Would be an immense restoration project but I hope some bus fanatic with more money than logic can get hold of it.

Kinda looks like a Divco, did they make busses?

The photographer reported that it was Chrylser Airflow-based.

Looks a little more similar to a airflow car than the airflow trucks, but not identical. The car straight-eight would be plenty of power for a small bus and probably more power than the truck engines.

  14. The car-based Airflow was the first thing I thought of when I saw the front of that beast. Wow - I hope someone with a lot of time and money puts forth the effort to restore that!

Don't know about Russia, but those can still be found in the Czech Republic, and it is not that difficult to get it to the US. Those old commie cars have a charm about them.

  16. That bus is odd, maybe a one off? Has what looks like Ford headlight bezels, gauges and steering wheel....

Headlight switch does look Ford, but that is a BIG steering wheel.

I've seen those Ford-style sealbeam conversions on other cars. A friend has those on a 810 Cord. They were probably added later.

  18. Here's a couple I found recently.

Looks like a bath would be all that's needed for the nova ... to rip it up again.

For the past 3 years my wife and I do the Winter Wine Road weekend with a group of friends. I always have to look for the cars to get some photos. Here is one that fits this thread. [IMG]
