    Hi all

Can anyone just put a bit of advice my way with regards to wheel sizes on model A's?? What's the pros and cons of having say 17" wheels to 21" wheels ?

    Thanks

Tire choices. you can get some really nice looking tires that'll give your car the right rubber rake by going with 17".

Unless your A is air bagged and running a M2 your ride might suffer. Plus anything over a 17 and that's to big for me ain't going to look good.

The flatter your tire the harder the ride. I had a buddy that use to run his tire low on his hardtail just to get a little spring.

  8. 17" are wider and have better tire selection (***uming your talking about stocker wire wheels).

hey now, someone spent alot of time and money on that, that thing. nothing like drinking and partying in the back of a limo getting buzzed and when it's over, falling 4 feet to the pavement.

This thread is a GREAT example of making ***umptions.......no where did the OP mention modern, wide 17" ghetto wheels. For the too young to know, and more aged dip ****s, 17" wheels were standard equipment on '33/'34 Fords and are a better bet for ***umption purposes.

cant be one hundred percent sure Ben, but there seems to be more tyre choice around for the 17's. the only trad wheels I've seen at 20" are the high clearance milk truck wheels and they're stupid money. I think there's a set in the calssified's right now and the guy wants about $3500!!!!... I'm really only typing this to keep the thread at the top and get you a real answer and to prevent the dip****s driving you away. so please, anyone who knows more than me give the guys some real advice.

    welcome from another Brit.

There are some things that you simply cannot scratch out of your mind's eye no matter how hard you try. Please don't post such ghastly abortions for us to look at.
