After the side is ready the door jamb is pieced togeather then ground and prepped.

 

One side ****oned up and ready to start on the next.

Looks like a great start...as someone else said I believe, anything 36 Ford is cool.

 

Awesome coupe, and very nice work you are doing!

 

Picked up a parts car in Nebraska. It sat upside down in a ravine so right subrail and surrounding metal were perfect. Plus lots of other useable parts.

Thanks. Cant go wrong with a westerguard style build! I have been working on her on and off about 2 years so I have posted a few pics here ad there. Thought it was time to start a build thread so progress will be quick for a while. Good luck with your build. Kipp.

 

With the pasanger side ****oned up on to the drivers side. The foot on the drivers side was rotted through all 3 layers also.

The ravine car had a perfect subrail on the drivers side and mine was rotted at the a and b pillers so I totally removed and replaced the original with the good one.

Then I removed the outer structure and prepared to start re ***embly. .

 

First I made a patch for the foot of the A pillar. .

 

Then rebuilt the inner panel's in the front of the caul. .

 

I took an ems patch panel and cut the revel off and used it to patch the bottom of the caul.

 

Then I took a patch for the front of the foot that I made while I was forming the one on the other side and I finished the foot, .

 

Caul finished. .

 

With the old subrail removed I took pieces from several ****py rails and made a good one. .

 

'36 Ford is one of my all time favorites. Keep up the good work!

 

Kipp..... I know I may be retarded but I know that COWL is not spelled Caul.....Where the hell is the grammar police when you need them...haha

New subrail installed I cut the bottom lip off of an ems patch panel and shrunk it to fit the conture of the side and tacked it in. Then I pieced the door jamb togeather.

 

I welded the patch and smoothed it. .

 

Then I welded and ground the door jamb. .

 

Nice work

 

The drivers side is now welded ground and ready to move on. .
