I have that same fuel pump. It's a good one for sure!

Just get yourself a good regulator. I think you would be find with that pump.

I'm also using that Carter electric pump with a fuel pressure regulator on a single Edelbrock 4-barrel. Very happy with it so far!

  3. That was the reason I took the electric Holley pump off on my truck.
Kinda sucks if you're sitting at a stop light, and your fuel pump is louder than your exhaust...

Engine is looking good so far, and I agree, we need more pics!

  4. I always thought the buzz of an electric fuel pump was kin to the whine of a blown engine, the sign of a high performance machine.

Your putting a radio in the car aren't you? Problem solved.

  5. Here's all I have for now:

No radio Sam. Just the sweet sound of a vintage hemi.

I have 4 97's on my '35 and I still need to regulated down. It should work for you and your muscle car intake setup. :D:D:D It's not too bad especially seeing how I have no mufflers. Haha!!

I think the screw type old SW's were really quiet but you can get a Carter new from Summit and if it ever fails have another at your door next day.

Excited to see this mammoth in between that firewall and radiator. Going to definitely give a whole new attitude.

  8. Looks like that adapter is missing a couple holes on the bottom half, no?

  9. No Scott, just really clean. The shafts are polished though.

I haven't looked that closely Martin. The bell housing fits perfectly though. Are you thinking of the small holes at the bottom of a GM bell for the splash shield that covers the flywheel?

  10. Yes, and I was thinking the bell housing would have bolts on the bottom too.
Or maybe the are not tapped all the way through?

I was in preschool in the mid 80's. Take that.

  12. Dave,

I am loving this build. What could be better than a Victoria with a hemi in it? You gonna have it ready for Fredericksburg this Fall?

    Ted

  13. The bell housing does have holes for a splash shield but I never ran one anyway, and those two bolts are not load bearing – they're pretty small.

  14. Thanks man, the only way I'll make F-Burg is if I don't paint it before I start driving it again.

  15. Come over and give a listen to mine,
I'm using the same FP, Carter P4070, on the od godess.

  16. Thanks Bruce, I'm going to take you up on that. Please name a Saturday or Sunday that you'll be around and I'll swing by and have a listen. I can also finally get that steering column.

  17. I'm working this weekend, off the following weekend.

  18. How about Saturday the 20th, Bruce?

  19. I did a little test fitting and mock up on the new mill and then took a few pics just for Mark.

Great to see things moving along. Who's adaptor is that? May hit my HEMI with some Gunk tomorrow. Bob

  21. Hot Heads for GM manual. If that's the one you need, buy it now while Bob has some in stock. I waited about three months while it was on backorder.

That was a reality check:eek:, adaptor kit costs more than I paid for my 354. Think I'll be spending my money on body supplies. Bob :)

  24. Looking great Dave!
Can't wait to see it all painted up!

Those air cleaners also look really nice on it.

  25. Thanks, Dave. That beast looks gorgeous! I love the first pic, don't get many great engine shots from the front. Can't wait to see it nestled between those frame rails! :)

  26. Finished up the steering wheel. It turned out pretty good.

  28. That steering wheel is the Devil, she looks like it has always been there!

  29. Wow! Looking good, Dave!
Wish that I hadn't sold off my 2-4 intake.
