You never know when stuff finds you...this was yesterday, and i was lookin for a tow truck to load a car with a pal o mine outside town..
we called a guy wich is supposedly renting tow trucks, went there to his place and when we said we had to move a 36 Ford he invited us inside his huge werehouse to check some of his projects...
i noted way above us in the mezzanine a cool front end..and between a lot of junk there is sitting this beautiful unrestored and unusual Chevy 34 roadster...
geee,i havent seen one of these for years..no matter if im a Ford guy but loved the lines and details of such beauty!

It might be a Lasalle. I had a buddy in High school (1971 ) that had one . It was awesome too the windows were partially covered on the outside with sculpted metal curtains. It had a Flathead of some sort. He ended up selling is , being a kid he never had the money to get it finished.

    Cool stuff down there.

Well ,I think it will be a keeper ..since I'm here in Mexico I have been told countless times about 32s for sale that they never showed up or was a model A ...so,lookin back 6 years or more are gone without actually having the chance to buy a 32 coupe ,no matter wich conds...
And for sure I don't wanna wait another 6 years to find another onto start building an hot rod for myself,I think this will be the perfect candidate to be a keeper ...top chop?Yesss, all the way ...traditional rod ?yup

Some more 32 shots..need to make a nice inventory but im freakin happy to see all the wooden structure intact inside and all the perfect garnish moldings in there...
looks like somebody along the way put a homemade heater thru the firewall wich will be easily removed...
the 4banger will be off too..need more power!!;)

Way cool bikes..its been my plans since many years to buy an old Harley or somethin and take a trip down under in the outback..with no time limit on my hand..i know you mates there are Indian and Harley nuts but of course to cover those great distances in the middle of nowhere you need to be well prepared ..
Im slowly working currently on a 47 Big Twin Flattie Harley wich i want bobber style for myself too, sorry i dont have any pics handy ..its all apart

More open cars ...here a weird one!
Thanks to fellow Hamber Hcontla that had the lead to such car we went togheter to check it in person..weird owner, probably on speed or such, but here is what we saw...
a 51 Jowett Jupiter ,british kinda ugly thing to me ...owner was saying that raced the modern Panamericana ,it had a full rollcage inside..it can be!
Asked price was out of this planet ,but fun to see anyway

Lets stick to cool open cars then..
what about this unusual Mopar counterpart to the 34 Chevy shown above??
Plymouth 32 roadsters are not that common anywhere i feel, even less down here..liked the cool lines and details on this one...
    What do you reckon fellas??

Sharp little roadster! I usually don't go for yellow and black but it looks good in this case.
Sled, I know it would be a needle in a haystack but have you ever seen a black '51 Mercury coupe in the Tacuba district? I saw it way back in '81; one of my Aztec buddies was trying to buy it but never had the pesos to do it. Very straight original with dull paint and no hubcaps; sound familiar?
Also, have you spotted any Edsels?

Chis, ive just been in the Tacuba barrio or districts couple days ago and I know the area..there is still some good stuff in there but who knows about the black Merc 51? I mean,I'm here only for 6 years aprox and back to the 80s there were a huge amount of American cars around in very good conds...so,I know fo sure there were a bunch of good Mercs among others ..so,nope,I don't know this Merc..however I did rescue similar 49/51 Mercs as you describe and still doing it today
Yes,I do know some Edsels too
