my first sloppy photo editing - using paint on a 1947 truck that is for sale by some other hamb, that I don't know, but if I had the money I would do this to it... old telephone truck... the first is his original pics, the second my feeble atempt..

just wish I had the money....

COSMIC 12 wrote "with the SS molding below the windshields? belt line" I don't even know what that means.

BUBBLESBACON - well done, heres how I would have done that with less work no doubt. the red lines is the cuts. 1 to lower it over the wheels and one to chop the roof. the front back pillars wont line up so I cut the top chunk in two and move them back and forth a bit so the pillars line up. then id clone the blue part to fill the gap.
I wouldn't have worried about the ground or trees but im lazy like that.
That may or my not make sense depending on my ability to describe things.

There is Stainless Steel molding that runs around the body just below the windows on 49 to 54 Chevys. Like the one in the pic below

you make it look easy! thanks for the tips.. I downloaded Gimp 2.8 and am getting a beginners book so hopefully someday I can come close to you and the others on here in doing this stuff. I can not afford the real cars so might as well do it virtually, that way my garage space and budget will never run out, LOL:D

Morris minors have been taunting me forever since theyre so cheap but so ugly. I think I finally found some mods that work and that im happy with.
front lights would be 40 ford, with reworked front and back.

    this is already chopped.

    Thanks! Glad someone likes it.

brian26 - how much of it u want white? you want the yellow words/stripes etc keeping? just the blue bits? or the whole thing painting over?

  16. All the body parts, I'd like to keep the gloss if any can be seen, but then I don't think much gloss will show through on it, everything else I can add. Thank you in advance.

Thanks man, appreciate the input. not something I see myself doing anytime soon, as after my vw imma probably go straight to a 59 caddy. But maybe it can inspire someone else. Would certainly be cool to see it built.

Looking for a 59 Tbird lowered 3 inches gunmetal on black like this one is gold on white on a set of chrome reverse wheels with lake pipes.

The B&W image is doctored to simulate a hood stretch to accomodate a straight-eight repower. The hood gets a fourth row of louvers. It gets longer running boards without the dip. The dip was for the spare tire-mounted blocking the drivcers door was a war-time adaptation. B&W shows original 9.00x16 tires. The color photo has 11.00x16s.
