    Awesome!

The black rims would look great on the blue drab. Not too sure about a maroon but a combo of gloss and satin blacks with natural aluminum and polished aluminum finishes would look killer on that blue drab...

Keep up the workin, coming along perfect!

What a great weekend! The car is looking great, guys! JJ's plan is dead on! Plenty of stuff up his sleeve for this car.

So much fun working with Scooter!!! He's got a different way of approaching things and he definitely pushes one to do it right and think about where it's going. I've got a fire lit under my as now and I'm just gonna haul ass and not think about the deadline too much. Just make tasks for each day.

I've got a full workload of stuff to do today for work but if I can get out there today I'll be installing the 33/34 pedal to Juice adapter and address one more weld. Really gotta push to get this thing a roller by end of July.

One thing that's starting to evolve is I'm seeing certain things having to be compromised to get is going in a timely fashion. There are parts that are just going to be out of my reach and that HAS to be ok. Things like a primer or a pressure pump for the fuel and the correct aircraft seat. Then I don't think 4 carbs on an Evans intake is in the picture so we'll have to see how it all pans out.

I leave you with more Hartelt.

Oh and thanks for all the birthday wishes for Memphis. Norwell, he got that TinyBird collaboration '34 print in his new remodeled "big boy" bedroom all matted and frame. It looks killer!

QUESTION! I asked this on Instagram but I thought I would toss it out here. Anybody know what this seat is from? I bought it from doodleroz to use in this car ala Comp Coupe but if it's not the right era I'll just sell it. Obviously it's not complete.

As stated above it's getting a little difficult to do the "competition style" coupe I wanted to do at least this go around because of funds. So if this isn't going to work I'll just use the original seat.

    Great build and documentation!
Bringing Scooter in is a master stroke of note! Need to find a way to bottle his skills and vision and sell 'em - you'd be a wealthy man!

  16. Looks good JJ. Making some good progress. My build has gone into stealth mode. Maybe I'll post some pics if I think anything is worthy.

I'm pretty sure anyone knows Chris Swenson has been subject to be on the receiving end (pun intended) to his vulgar homoerotic drawings which is why he's so fast to reference the Ambiguously Gay Duo.

Stay off this thread you Sasquatch!

Thanks bub! Yeah I'll let you know. I've been getting a lot of support from nice guys like yourself and a few people have offered up a flathead!! That's awesome!!!!

I'll try and get the thread back on track by hopefully cutting out that rear crossmember Friday evening maybe??? Tomorrow morning I'll see if I can't order up some rivets to get that saddle back in so this frame is ready for powder coating.

    Thanks for the interest!

I have a small supply of solid steel rivets that I got from an old hardware store in Huntington Beach. I just may have what you need and MAYBE we can get that old WWII era hand riveter I have tuned up and set them with that. Not sure if I have any ends that will fit it though. If not we have my other riveter.

Just look into what size rivets you need and I'll see if I have anything that big.

Should be able to get the rivets from Grainger and just pick them up...
