That is interesting, two different combustion chamber designs?

Looks like one has a hemisphical quench area (?) and deep combustion chamber over the valves, the other , much flatter all around.

    Thanks hemi32! Are those yours?

Firing order,...those encounters with the Masters of the trade never happen often enough..... And we never forget them......

  7. When Kong passed away a few people were given a couple sets of raw heads, that were originally intended to be remelted because they didn't meet Kong's standards.
I guess you would call them wall hangers. All the rest were destroyed, by myself.
By appearance I would say these were one of those sets. I personally would not suggest using one of those sets on an engine.

  8. Wow, Thanks for coming on here. How about a thread on the history on the Kong speed equipping? I'm sure many people would appreciate it!

Frank Klos ( Kongs racing partner ) Still has the Jocko bodied car stored at his shop in L.A... So it's still around...

What became of the narrowed "Jocko" style liner that Mr. Jackson used to run at "Mirage"?

In the latest edition of Rodders Journal they say that SoCal Sacramento have the patterns for the heads and are going to reproduce in the near future. really would like a set if they do.
