There are several areas that have shade, and you can find some if you look around. With all the buildings, there are various areas that make shade as the sun moves. And the Old Skool pavilion is pretty large.

It is good to know, both the Art & Home Center and the Center of Progress Building are air conditioned. And there are lots of shade trees in Chevy Court, right next to the CoP.

Really, there are plenty of chances at shade. Last resort should be the wide open blacktop Midway. But wherever you go, you can manage a lot better with an E-Z-Up.

Just think sunscreen, hydration, and self management and you'll be fine!

The old skool pavillion is usually overflowing by 10.

A few years ago I seen a guys "E-Z up" take flight into another guys street rod. That was better than reality TV. If you bring one do yourself a favor and anchor that bitch down.

  3. Over on the asphalt there's no good way to anchor it down. So I rope tie it to a '56 Pontiac engine block. If the wind can launch that too I'm going to expect to wake up to munchkins and a dead witch.

  4. just call in sick on friday man! that's what I'm doin! I'll see you there.

currently 93 feels like 106. I bet Ice will be a trade able commodity. Gonna take a ride around the hotels at Carrier circle a little latter see how many early birds are around.

Steve, you planning on still being there on Sunday?
I figured a lot of guys would be headed home in the am Sun.
If you're still gonna be there i'll try and find ya if i can shake loose and go.

Any of you guys know if show passes will still be able to be purchased on sunday? Id much rather park inside someplace than park in the spectator parking.

Yeah, I plan to make an appearance on Sunday in the morning. Figure head home by 12pm/1pm or so though. Look for my new ride. Green 59 Ford 2 door wagon. I'll be under the Old School Pavillion next to my dad's 40 ford. Hope you make it out bro.

Too hot for way too long. I have never seen such a long stretch of mind numbing temps/dewpoints.

That blue 34 would be my dream car find right there:cool: Thanks for THAT pic;) I wouldn't change even one thing, it's perfect.
