Not sure - but reasonable question. I have some early LeSabre hubcaps that I pulled the medallions out of for chrome bullets to get a sombrero look on the cheap - wanted to put on some 6 lug 70's GM 1/2 ton 15 x 6 factory wheels and could not make them go on. Cut the tabs with the skinny wheel to relieve the spring tension but they are to TIGHT to even hammer on with rubber mallet. Good luck & let us know what you come up with for sure. rg
I don't think they will fit a shallow dish rim, but I could be wrong without seeing them in person...
Thank you for the help fellas I was thinking of putting on a set on my 37 Buick I really like the look of these hubcaps
Don't mean to steal the thread, but while we're talking about it, I want to put the repop tri- bar caps on my 54. What 15 in wheel will they fit without showing any lip? I'm thinking about just buying the raw steelies out of good Ol speedway. Anybody been through this? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
No worries barett if anybody can answer barett's question please do so that's what we are here for i love all the help i get from everybody Thank you
Don’t know about the repos but the originals would not fit on the S10 4X4 wheels I am using on the front my `40 Chevy to get some negative offset for tire to fender clearance. You would think a 15” rim would lip would be the same but it was a hair to small. I removed the lip and welded on some from a 49-56 Chevy. (which is what I’m using on the rear.) This also moved the cap out 3/16 allowing the dish part of the cap to fit all the way in order for it to seat around the outside. I have put around 10,000 mile on since installing the caps and have not lost one. They are a ***** to remove as they fit so tight on edge of the lip. And don’t even think about getting any wheel weights on the outside. They will have to go on the inside.
