Legality of gas tank out front

    Since they are now welcomed by the NSRA, a Pinto with a Moon tank out front, would sure clear the pathway into the event.

    If you can zip around on a motocycle with 5 gallons between your legs in a tin can, I have no worries about that little sturdy tank out front. Not many bike fires but plenty of destroyed tanks when they go down.

    In a front end crash that's almost as dangerous as a gas tank.

    Man you guys make me laugh
    (In a good way)
    I don't necessarily want one on my car , just was curious cos you see them a bit on street g***ers and some rods.
    Here even using one without fuel would be hard I think . The law are quite harsh with front ends ( scoops, carbs, exposed ch***is, bumper brackets etc).
    They are concerned for pedestrians !!

    I don't think so considering there were later rear engined cars with front mounted tanks.
    More likely Ford figured a fuel pump wasn't a bad idea so the tank could be lower and in the back.
