I just figured out why there called Bangers.............I want to bang my head against the wall at how much this little 4 cylinder is costing me!

The horsepower to $ ratio is worst then a V8 flathead by far......HaHa

Got my new banger motor and started spraying the body yesterday. Getting closer................

Sean Brayton is bringing a fleet of vintage goodies. I love this guy! He has been more enthusiastic then anyone this year and a giant help too. Hopefully he'll post some pics.

If anyone is flying in for the race I just found out that Spirit Airlines is the only airline that flys into Atlantic City. AC is probably the closest airport. I'd guess its about a 1/2 hr from Wildwood.

Philadelphia Airport is another option? Anyone driving in from Philly? I hear we have some pretty famous men now trying to figure out how to get to the Trog.

Work is slow this week so im putting a lot of time on the racer. I got the body finished painted today and assembled. Body is single stage gray and the firewall is black. Im going to rub it once I mount it to the chassis. Started with a crappy hood this morning then sanded it down and louvered it and painted it. Going to have 2 straps over the hood so the louvers are toward the center for a strap to mount on both sides. Flywheel will be here tomorrow with cam.........

 

We are entering the T, but I can't show up with out my 29 roadster also.

That's ok I know how it is. I got another "rod" I'm bringing also. It always wins the race, But I don't want to embarrass myself by posting a pic of it!

Thee Marcy Molkenthen is coming all the way from Texas to vend! Wahoo...

I've known Marcy a long time now and haven't seen her in years. Last time was at a Round Up party about 5 years ago, and before that I think was in Paso about 15 years ago. Super excited to have great hot rod people want to come on over for our show. We are gonna party!

As well as period hot rods from the late 30's and early 40's, you will also see Moto Cycles from as early as 1911 duke it out on the sands like in yester year.

We also have some pretty special Autos that will be scheduled to run at specific high lighted times for your mechanical enjoyment! Like this...
