Very very nice sedan -- good to see you're driving it, just as they're meant to be. I've also enjoyed following along on Instagram. Malcolm
What color is that interior in one shot it looks Carmel/dark Tan/light Brown and the other picture it looks Burgundy color ? Thanks
I checked it out at the show. Great attention to detail. Very nice sedan! Got to meet Roy and chat a bit on Friday evening, good people.
If you saw each car individually you would notice a trend rake wise. Brizio builds at least 90% of his vehicles with the same rake and has for many years. Nothing wrong with it it is like a trademark. You can walk into almost any show and pick out the Brizio cars or most of them at a glance. He has found a combination that works and sticks with it. Now there is an upside and a down side to that depending on your school of thought, down side from one school of thought is that when you go to a pro builder you get his car not yours upside by another school of thought is that when you choose a specific pro builder it is because you like his style and that si what you would build if you had the time and the skill. Now all that said and all of it off topic and open to conjecture let me say this: hawleywood, Nice car man. You should be giggleing like a little school girl every tim you get behind the wheel.
Scott (hawleywood1) Hawley- A very *****in' Moredoor! ... with yet another beautiful interior by Sid (Hotrods***cher) Chavers and paint job by Darryl (hollenbeck32) Hollenbeck! Glad to see you made it to British Columbia and back ... but then again, I'm not surprised ... Brizio cars are meant to be DRIVEN!
That is one sweet sedan and a road burner to boot. Signature rake or not I think it sets perfect from what my eyes see. The car is a lesson in "enough is enough we don't need to do another thing" too. No frufru added for the sake of adding frufru leaves a very clean and beautiful car.
Scott, as you know I really like your sedan and have featured it on my site. I love the fact that it is a four door and a hiboy to boot. Thanks for the photos. Lynn
Beautiful! You must be over the top happy with it. I had a chance to visit his shop a couple of years ago and Brizio himself took myself and a friend on a tour of the shop. It was an experience I won't forget.
We just got back last night drove six cars 6000 miles saw your car and loved it you could not have picked a better shop to build your dream.
Having owned a 4 door sedan myself I know how cool they are,but to have Brizio involved I'm sure it's a first cl*** build. Beautiful car, love the winter front and the wires. How about some information about the build.HRP
If I had to choose someone to build my car and my local favorite builder was unavailable I'd walk to the west coast and beg Roy to build it. His cars have had the most consistant traditional look/stance of any of the "big names". Roy never has to resort to "smack you in the face" one offs to maintain his position in the elite of the business. Take a look at this years AMBR winner and I rest my case. Frank
Thanks for the great feedback. I found this car in Santa Rosa. It was owned by Mike Chase. Pretty well know photographer for cars and bikes. It had a Brizio Ch***is done and came with fenders, original interior, ******, 8 inch, and many other pieces to get this project going. It was setup for a small block chevy already so I went that route. It has a 383 in it with a 400 auto with O/D. I wanted this to be a highboy from day one and no chop. It was a fight on the no chop but I got my way. The color is Hawleywood Blue. Custom color that I came up with. Close to Lyons Blue off a 40 Ford pickup. Greek stripping with a Oxblood interior. Wires and firewall are Vanilla Shake. Car rides real nice with coil overs in the rear. 3.73 gears.
