I found this vintage photo of my entry for the Race of Gentlemen during it's construction.

(It was taken way back in 2012...)

 

We are officially down to the last last two months of working on shit to get it ready. If you're not bringing anything then I fully expect you to be ready to paint your face like New Jersey Devil Fans and cheer those who are racing on.

Im super excited....rebuilt my model a trans today and got my speed goodies. Block is out getting the valves fitted, hope to have the motor and trans in next week.

 

TJ, I sure wish I had your ambition.....and wallet!

I did pull my radiators (yep, two! gotta find out which one is better) and gas tank last week and took them to the shop to get cleaned and checked. Had to have a couple cracks fixed around the neck on one radiator, but the others were fine! Thank goodness....I was a little scared of what he may have found on the tank!

I probably won't have it ready by ROG, but I'm still gonna try! Can't wait 'til October!

 

just recycling $ from last years coupe i sold.....

Keep on it brett, there is no better memory for me then last year racing at ROG.

Its worth the time and $........

 

TJ, IF (and I mean IF) I make it, I'll just be in the show! I don't want to commit to a spot in the race line-up if I'm not definitively sure I can make it. I would, however, commit to a space in the show given a reasonable chance of completing!

Looking forward to meeting you and other fellow 'Bangers! (Everyone else, too....of course!)

Damn that chrome knucklehead is bitchin!

 

i have put this on hold but if there is a spot for me and i can make it happen would i be welcome in this ??? it has not moved since 1949 until i bought it last year and all i did was clean it and put the KH bent spoke wires on it !the drilled unsplit bones and the dropped drilled moore axle were installed on the car in 49 !! i would need to swap in the supposedly running rebuilt flatty i bought for it . put a radiator in it and do some front end work and bolt the seat down and replace the windshield ,unlock the column ,replace the drag link and pitman arm ,figure out some shocks put brakes on it and swap the mechanical rears out for a set of juicers and cross my fingers and hope that the rear end and tranny are useable . sounds like the chances of being ready are very slim but man i would love to be there on the beach this year !!
