Projects Any Henry Js in the House?? Pictures??

I see there's a couple of HJs on Ebay right now.

 

Check out the ebay user classicparts4u he has a lot of J sheet metal. I've got inner and outer rocker panels form him just haven't started the rebuild yet but soon.

We bought this 51(with many changes over the years) and it will be put on the road as is for now while I build the frame from the 53 with a 250 Chevy 6, 350 turbo, that's the plan for now.

Here are a couple of shots of my Gasser project, along with our
Top Sportsman Henry J. We are hoping to get out to Rt 66 in Joliet
tonight if the weather cooperates. We have gone 7.17ET at 192MPH
with the car at RT 66 in Joliet last fall.
The RT 66 Classic is coming up on Saturday August 17th, if you make
it out to the event, come look us up in the pits.

ijus t sold mine today at Macungie PA.big east coast event. I got it in 1999, and finished it in 2003. original 4 banger, with all N.O.S. chrome. here it is from 2 weeks ago, it was the wedding cae for my nephew. this car didn't leave my shop for anything. I did it all. even cut and made the glass.

 

I am working on my henry j. Replacing the front floors and finish welding the strait axel in.. Have all the parts it going to have a 500 cid cadi and 400 trans 8.75 rear with 391 gears.

 

I am thinking of selling my "J" no time or no $$ . Lots of stuff package only if I do . How much interest in a "Street Gasser"354 Hemi push button auto straight axel QC rear Scout frame, Hilborne and much more.

 

Since I still haven't figured out how to post pics, check out my avatar 1951 powered by a blown 392 Hemi, 9in rear with disc all 4 corners, 727 trans and a modified stock frame and a all steel tilt frontend!

I have the same problem. I'm figuring I'll just have to use the bottom of the doors for reference and build in reverse.

 

I need a gas tank, know of any?

 

I ended up having a custom 11 gallon tank made to fit under the car in the stock location and use the stock filler.

I used Tanks USPT-GH. Also the stock filler. Mine is not the stock frame. Check the measurements it should fit.

 

My old 53 Henry J...bought a buncha parts for it but sold it before I really got started on it...damn! Was the 6 cylinder version

 

This is mine. been driving about a year lots of fun.

I used a repro 60's Mustang tank. Fits nice. I made a frame so no straps are needed.

 

Anyone have this picture saved on their computer ? It was printed on a shirt about 10 yrs ago but can't find the actual image anywhere.
