I don't but the picture was in the archives from the City of Baltimore.

 

And thus the origin of the term "Hero Cam" is revealed. Unfortunately over time, the driver would get credit for being the hero, when clearly it was the cameraman.

1940 Oklahoma tag - "19" was issued by Bryan County (Durant possibly?). Looks like they were visiting western Oklahoma. Not a tree in sight.

This seems a little risky to have the pool so close to the parking lot, I wonder how many cars they fish out of there during high season.

 

Don't remember that happening in the old days, only now with the stupid young drivers, see this all the time in Phoenix.

 

The driver looks to be Ken Miles, a Ford GT40 driver who lost his life in a Riverside testing accident.

 

And an adult diaper!
