I'm in Fredericksburg today at the swap meet. But I will be back tomorrow if that's when this is going to happen.

 

Morning Campers! I too am in the Houston area and kinda new here on the Hamb. Don't have a running vehicle to cruise in at the moment. Would like to meet up with you guys at one of these. I am in Sugar Land. Sometime in the next month I think, there will be a new place opening up called the Red Neck Bar and Grille or some such, in Stafford. From what I have seen it has a large out door patio. It might be worth a periodic cruise. If all goes as planned I should have a ride in 4 weeks or so.
I usually hang out with the Southwest Street Machine bunch out here in SL. But they are aging unfortunately and most are selling off their cars. One just sold his 32Chevy and now drives a new Vette. Another is selling his 4 40 fords and still another has a 55 Chevy and a Steel 32 he is selling. So I am looking for a new hang out . Looks like this local group has the same issues as my VW club does trying to settle on a place to meet.

Hi Mike,
We try to hold the meets at different places around town so that some months members don't have to drive so far. I was in a Camaro club and we did the same, it brings out different people each month.

We use to have a meet on Washington Avenue but that slowly fizzled out. The breakfast thing seems to work better.

 

I should be good to go; when & where?

 

How about one of the 59 Diners?

I don't know about you Bill but I don't think I could drive a truck painted that color....

To get back on topic I still like Spanish Flowers on North Main, they have plenty of room to accommodate our typical group, but I'm up for just about anywhere.

 

Any place is fine with me.....what I mainly need to know is when....so I can plan for it.

This Saturday, there's an open house. BARE BONES Custom Paint & Speed Shop is having an open house. 4pm until Midnight. The address is:

5240 Elm Street. That's in Bellaire, which is a nice area. I've cruised by and they have a good parking lot laid out.

Activities:
Pinup contest by Al E. Cat
Rat Rod Magazine will be there doing coverage (no rat rod drama please)
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be supplied between 6pm & 8pm (BYOB otherwise)
Music provided by DJ Twinkle Toes (I hope that's a chick) & Hot Rod Hillbillies will be performing live.
