Allrighty then, I'm sitting in the staging lanes for my 3rd time trial run when this chick pulls up beside me in an Olds convertible. The staging guy asks me if there is any one I want to run and I look over at this evil looking lady and I say, I want her. OK, so we pull up to the line and I let her stage first, then I stage. The lights turn green and she is gone. Now I'm not saying my reaction time was slow, but the stater had to come over and tap on the hood of my truck and tell me the light was green. So I nail it and by that time this lady was about half way down the track. Now normally this wouldn't upset me but I'm looking at her and she is doing a parade wave as she is going down the track. Now I want you to know, I'm old (69) and pretty forgiving but this is just pretty hard to take. I mean, getting your *** waxed by some chick in an Olds converible is just down right embarr***ing. O.K Denise, I still love you and revenge will come. Next year, same time, different results. You sweet thing you. By the way the ice cream after the race was good wasn't it? Ryan, I had an absolute ball. I had not been down a drag strip since 1967 and to have the opportunity to do it again was great. WHAT A HOOT!!!! THANKS BIG TIME!! Later, ****

I think both of us were in the mid 17s at some point in time, When I ran Denise I ran an 18 something, my worst time of the day and I might add, the worst reaction time.
