Here's a few of my pics, and as I come from the same town as trumph, it's sort of OK. First day at the lake today. Tried not to get too excited and chase after every cool car I saw. Caught up with Norm, Vicky, Rod and Caro lfrom Australia at the Haas Racing pits. Norm's got a pretty good shot of getting a red hat with this car, the record is about 186, so he just has to make 200 and he'll get it, and this car is more than capable of it. GM Ecotec 4 cylinder turbo that makes 850HP!!! This roadster has had a bit of ink lately, but was cool to see close up. Supercharged Packard straight 8. Hopefully going to photograph it for a feature. We spent the arvo photographing this streamliner that Logan Davis from Vintage Performance Automotive just built. He did the whole thing in less than 11 months, it runs a H&H Flatheads 4 cylinder (Max Herman from H&H) is going to drive it. Brilliant car. Logan built this car for last year's event. It's got a Procharger on a 4-banger.
First day of racing today. One of the first runs of the day George Poteet went 430 on a 381 record. Going early tomorrow to watch it and see if he can set a new record. Just a handful of artsy fartsy pics. Scandinavian Street Rods belly tank. Detail shot of a very nice rear engined Modified Roadster. Tom Branch's roadster. Love this car and got to have a chat to Tom as well. Nice guy. Newest Rolling Bones car. Shot it for a feature and had a chat to the owner, older guy that has done some amazing stuff over the years.
Gary Odberts 1929 Ford Roadster with a Cadillac flathead. he holds a record with it. and couple more pictures.
