I'm not convinced that's a factory. I think it looks like men just trying to get a car out of the 2nd story of a building. Those huge beams making the ramp down looks like the are only held in place by the truck's rear tires.

Not sure what they are trying to do but I would not want to be the person driving down that ramp and depending on just the brakes in this case.

    Looks rather scary to me.

    Logical explanation could be:
"The car has been displayed in a showroom, now being transported out"
End of 20's, the car on the ramp seems brand new, the ones down at street 3-5 yrs used.

There's got to be a winch keeping tension on the back of that A from inside the building,or some guys on a block and tackle or something.
If you guys think the brakes are gonna hold it on a 45 deg angle on wooden beams you are cuckoo...lol
And I agree with the previous poster who figured it was a showroom.Im the 40's and 50's we had a similar setup downtown in my home town.I believe the picked a building with a freight elevator though....lol

    It's a "loft find".........

More likely, the car is being loaded into/out of the hotel ballroom exhibit.

Yes. I worked in large construction projects and we did stuff like that to move electrical equipment a lot heavier than that car. Often using rollers and or greased planks.

There is a cross-braced support under the top end of the ramps. I wonder how hard the car bottomed out going over the sill, though.

Well, I'll ask the obvious, if the Model A had to come out that way, was the reverse procedure used to get it in?

    That is awesome!!!!

  20. Also, if you look at the ramps, fender tops and the radiator of the truck, they have snow on them. The ramps under the truck are dry.

It looks to be a woman at the top of the ramp on the right side.
If anyone been to Jerome AZ. near Prescott. Old copper mining town on side of mountain. The old car dealership building is now a museum and the had an elevator to go to 3 levels down for service work. It was too steep to have a driveway down. The town is a series of switch backs.

I was thinking the same thing. I would think if it was going out they would have some sort of transition ramp between the ramps and the deck of the truck.
