Lowering a 57-60 ford f-100

    I'm pretty sure the rear is easy enough. I'm not so sure to go about doing the front. You can't just add lowering blocks to the front. Right? Looking to lower it without going the IFS, airbag route. How did you it? Any suggestions. Thanks, -stick

    Ya Need A Dropped Axle & Reverse Eyed Springs...

    Been Runnin A 4" Over Stock & Reverse Springs On My '55 For Like 10 Years.

    As Long As Ya Keep It Greased And Rebuild It When Ya Have It Appart It Will Give Ya Years Of Top Service :d

    dropped axle and work the spring. Thats the most common way, but not cheap. I swear that someone posted a way that they threw blocks under it within the last month. Might be worth searching for!

    A month or two ago someone posted pics about how they flipped the axle and what they did to fix the bump steer. This was on a 57-60 style truck too. That is what I was going to do with my 57.

    i bought a cpp drop axel ($480) and im removing leafs up front, and i already did the rear too. But whoever wants to do air doesnt make them "fags" dont listen to immature people who bash on shit becuase they dont know how it works.

    i went with a monoleaf spring with reversed eyes for a 3" drop was easy to do in a couple of hours on my 60f100

    I have original dropped Ford axle and reversed the eyes on my springs the axle and tie rod drops ran me 360$ look in to dropped axles .com

    Sids Nostalgia in OK drops front axels. Great work at a reasonable price.

    I've been seriously considering an Aerostar front on mine. I don't have one out to do the measuring but it looks pretty do-able. The Aerostar saddle is 1 " wider than the F-100 frame. Hell, I might even use one from and all wheel drive and have a lowered 4x4 shop truck.
