That pic looks just like Maxwell the Geico pig..... might be some of his relation.

 

I remember the road past my house being like that or worse - Sometimes we had to park down the road where another road intersected - A near by farmer used to bring his horses to pull the cars out, he wouldn't bring the tractor because he couldn't afford for it to get stuck - When it dried out they would grade the road the spray oil on it to hold down the dust

 

My dad was a tail gunner in a B-26 Marauder (nicknamed Widowmaker). He flew out of England & later in the war from France.Never would talk about it much ,tho, all he would say was "plenty of times I didn't think I was coming home" His air medals are framed& hanging on my wall above me now.RIP Pops

 

These photos are monumental!! There are very few period photos of Chevrolet's Classic Six, and to have some with Teddy Roosevelt in back are stupendous. Please tell me all you can about these???

I think that is a rather arrogant question. How do you know the circumstances of this photo? The girl is dressed nicely. This old car could be at the fence of the girl's parents 500 acre ranch for all you know. Do you think all the subjects of the thousands of depression photos paid for the photos? Wow.
