Thanks for posting that - brings back good memories. I lived in and near the Alps for quite a few years. I notice that there are several hot rods both from Germany and Switzerland running fenderless. Is that legal?

In swiss, I think, 1932 vehicle and older can drive fenderless.

We had a good summer since june. The tour across the alps went well too.
You have to have good brakes and a good cooling system in your ride and enough horsepower helps too when cruising into the mountain areas.

If you drive a couple times trough yosemite park, tioga p***, glacier point in a hot rod, you know what I´m talking about.

    No,
its leagal as the rules for vehicles appeared in 1938 , so anything up to 1937 is fine.
There are just not enough people who knows that fact.

  12. Wow, thanks. Great views, great cars, and great video.

I participate in the All Deuces run through the Great Smokey Mountains each year diving on and around the Blue Ridge Parkway and as beautiful as the scenery is it pales in comparison to your beautiful snow covered Alps!

    Thank you for sharing. HRP

...damn, if I did that I would rubber-neck all over the place, crash through a guardrail and become airborne, I'm sure. The vid shows a true 'reliability run'...

If someone told me that you could find a show in the Alps with a bunch of old American cars I wouldn't have believed them. Some really nice cars and the landscape is beautiful.

Thanks for the video. Brought back a lot of good memories. I made the same drive across the Alps in 68. Was driving a VW bug. Thanks again. Hud

The Model-A Coupe runs a fresh BMW 750I v12 engine with 4 carbs.
The hole ride Looks old, but ist up to date tech. V12, triptronic Auto trans, ac, pw, 4wdb, high Speed set up, runs easy over 150mh/h down the german Autobahn.
This crazy ride is owed by one of our american ( us army guy) rhein-main-cruiser members.
