Hey guys, I am starting to run a few wires on my Willys. Planning to build up the wiring myself, but I have questions. Most important right now is the primary system. I would like to run the engine within a couple of weeks. I have an early '70's 302in the car. I have put a "One Wire Alternator" (built in regulator) on the car and a billet distributor, that incorporates the GM electronic ignition ( module and coil in the cap)...First do I need any type of resistor (wire or block) on my system ? Next, is there any reason to run my "One Wire " from my alternator direct to the battery or can I just run it to the battery side of the solenoid ? I have seen it both ways on wiring diagrams. Thanks

Answer one; no resistor wire to the GM HEI ignition.

Answer 2; The battery side is fine, be sure and use a good quality set of battery cables.
