    Any assembly code that begins with a "T" ( the last three letters) in your case TDR came out of a truck....they made that block from 1969 into the late 70s...so definitely not 67 Camaro

    Also, regardless of the year or what
    the numbers say, it couldn't possibly
    be a Camaro engine either, because
    ALL used small block Chevy engines,
    regardless of their origin are "out
    of a Corvette
    ". Everyone knows
    that!!! :eek::D:D

    Thanks what does the 3970010 number mean is that Just a common block?

    Should I still be interested in engine? He wants 600 and its complete. Looks like in great condition.

    It,s just more or less a common 72 truck engine, The heads not to good for speed, They most likely are 74 to 76 cc heads I,ve a 72 gmc just like it , run,s ok not to fast,lol but I got 291 heads that I,m going to put on them, and a 488 cam, Sould bring it to life a little more, If you engine has a 4 bolt main, that,s good,,,,,That,s About all I have For now, Have a good one Bill

    Thanks bill. Is there any issues in running it in a car? The owner said the they are oval port heads? Nice engine with upgraded coil. Nice powder coat on it and wants 600 good deal?

    Thanks

  10. I wouldn't pay a done for it unless I heard it run and did a compression test on it. I have been told many things when buying engines and doing a compression check on them sure saved me from wasting money and time on junk that seller claimed was good.

    never have heard a sbc head described as oval port (except new style brodix) 67 would have first year 350...thinking Camaro only.
