rocketsam. We meet every Saturday night at McDonalds 2 blocks south of Indian school, we have been showing up anywhere from 7:30 to 8:00. Bring the club down lets talk cars and cruise all fun, look forward to meeting everybody. Also big thanks to everybody I talked to at So.Cal on Saturday, went home and put a new condenser in the Belvedere and its running. That's one of the good things about just talking cars, learned something new, thanks again. You all have a great week and hope to see you all up on Central.
I got my 300 (that thing in my avatar) running Friday for the first time in a year, after swinging a new 727 under it, and proceded to drive it everywhere all weekend without a hitch (so far, anyway!) I rolled through the McDonald's lot around 9 and saw a black Tempest and a c4 'vette but didn't see any signs of life so I just kept on a rollin'... was that any of you guys on this thread?
Keith, I probably would have gone IF you would have reminded me. I went a few times and would go again.
Right on. I would have stopped but I was with a friend who had some place to be, so we just did a quick lap down to Roosevelt and hit the parking lot when I saw a couple rides. Next time, Gadget!
I will be a late partisapent this week, have a BBQ. at my sons and I don't get to see him much. I will probably make it somewhere and 9:30 but will be there, lets all have a great Friday and C U Saturday.
Saw Mike out at Pavillions, where we made fun of the skulls and spikes crowd (why can't some people's kids just leave an old fucking headlight alone?), then slid on down to Central and did a little BS'ing and a whole lotta sweatin' with that Keith guy up there. Now where the hell is everyone else in this town?
Will be there this weekend family stuff all done, back to car fun. I have kick down linkage coming for the Belvedere, so that means not this weekend but next should be driving the Belvedere so Corvette this week. OOHH well so close now I am not going to let it worry me. Have a great rest of the week.
Cool can't wait to hear the stories. I am looking forward to this weekend, when I miss a week doing a car thing I can't wait to get back at it. Be good to see ya Nick, what about some others who's going to show?
Most everybody's already read about my Bonneville exploits, except the stuff I can't tell you about...but I will be bringing Jessica and that always seems to spur on fantastic political debate....
Cool, looks like it just might be a little cooler if its not raining. All good who else plans on showing?
Hey guys how is the week going ? hope we have some guys showing up this week, last week only about 5 but we had some good discussions on some of the old wrecks that happened on Central. 1 in 78. 1969 Mustang Mach 1 split in two pieces, and one before that a 240 Z small block chevy air born over the canal by the high school. (Crazy Wrecks ) both with causality's. We live and learn. Hope you all are having a great week.
wrecks on Central? I can relate- Driving/cruising with my honey, northbound, approaching Indian School in my '65 GTO conv. Got clobbered in the rear by a '74 Ranchero that was racing a 71-3 Mustang. The Ranchero destroyed the back of my GTO- both 1/4s, deck lid, etc. The Mustang clipped the left front corner of my car too and he drove over the island. Not sure how fast they were going. I did not even know it was about to happen. Last time I looked in mirror, there were no cars behind me. I ended up with some neck injuries but, healed. She was OK. It made me a believer in using head rests or high back seats in the future though. Those short seats caused my injuries. This was in '77 in the area where the Derweinerschnitzel was. .
8 o'clock at the McDonalds? Il be there, bring out the Bonne Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Not only am I awake I'm out with Luke visiting Mom and will be down to regale everyone with my tales of wonder.
