Guys, I was just talking to a friend about Von Dutch back in the 70's. He was working at the Cars of the Stars at the time. I was there for a Swap Meet and Von Dutch was in a garage and was puttering around with his "KenFord". I was a '53 or '54 Ford F-100 with a 223 six cylinder. The stock Ford sheet metal was all gone. Von Dutch had fabriacated a "C-Cab" style body and a short flat bed. The dash panel was just flat steel with a m*** of gauges and switches. The 223 Ford had a fabricated intake with two side draft carbs. He had fabricated fenders, running boards and the grille shell. There was a KenFord script in Br*** on the front of the radiator.

Hope this might get some response from guy who might have seen it back then.

Hadn't heard of that one, but looked it up.

Me thinks he might have done better to have left the Effie alone. But it is interesting... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378005225.096574.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378005235.167342.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378005244.098383.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378005256.815098.jpg

Evidently he shook that one off with just a bruise and was able to get back to his game. Gary

Who cares if it's? Good or bad, it's piece of history by one of the most recognizable artist/craftsmen in the last what..... century? I was offered a chance to buy it almost 20 years ago, but was still in college with no garage or money. It later sold to a huge collector for almost 10x what I could have got it for. It came with an owners manual hand made by Dutch as well.

Hey guy, Thanks for the positive comment. I would have been rolling over if I had that kind of a chance for a Von Dutch original. One thing I just thought of is that when I saw the truck it had "T" style flat fenders and was more to my liking. Still, someone thought it was worth it for a collection.

That's funny! Von Dutch wasn't a Big Name Car Builder.... Big name striper,yes... Big name gunsmith...yes. He even built some pretty cool dwarf motorcycles.
