OK, looking for a metal box for the back of my unibody to store some stuff in. I really like something like this, perhaps an old Model A type trunk?
Gotta be metal, something I can bolt down to keep from disappearing, and be able to be locked.

That is a very common trunk stamping. There are quite a few variations of the chromed trim that fits on it, as well as some having leather side handles. The same company made 2 stampings; one like the pic, with a solid back panel for rear mounted spare tire cars. The other one has a back panel that can fold down like a tray, after you open the top.

I have both here, one is on my 32 Nash conv sedan, and was original from Nash. The Nash back apron is even dished to the same shape as the trunk.

I don't know what other brands had it stock, and I'd bet that company sold to the aftermarket, too.

These are very low production bodies from Nash...not too popular in the USA, as they were the most expensive body in those series.

I bet most went to South America and Europe, where that style was well liked.

The rust one is mine; a 32 6cyl, body #38

the white one is a 32 smallest flat straight 8, came from South America. In So Cal now.

the green one was found in a NYC garage, was pretty bad, it's a 33 smallest 8, body #11 or #12 for that year run. In Ohio now.

I websearched 5 years, and found only 2 more 6yl 32 like mine, one in Argentina, one in Panama.
