Make it your own and drive it like you rented it.

  5. I got it home tonight and tomorrow I start making it mine. I'll post a few pics tomorrow after some mods...

  6. Update with the front & rear bumpers removed, step plates removed, and YES the "STREETROD" emblems are GONE. Oh almost forgot, previous owners teddy bear and dice are also gone. I think its looking pretty good with only these couple little changes and a wash job...

Wait till she is wearing some new shoes

  8. Looking good, I would get rid of the wood next then lower it, leave those Keystones on there for awhile.

  12. looking good and coming along nicely. its amazing how a few minor details can change the look of a car. i'm sure i'll see the truck around as i'm not too far away from you over in uniontown

  13. Two things that won't cost much and would make a huge difference.

Lower the rear an inch or preferably two inches.

Lose the door panels and replace them with any neutral color panel. Then only the seat is velour, the door panels just tip it over the edge. No need to do any upholstering to the panels, just flat and plain.

Lose as much billet as you can!

Nice truck without all the do dads any ge gaws.

  14. I just wanted to add my newest addition to this thread.
I installed a dropped headlight bar and 7' headlights tonight.
I think I have came a long way from what it looked like two weeks ago
and making the trip to Columbus Ohio to the Goodguys Nationals on a whim. Made the trip very nice but I must say I was a little nervous.

  17. Just made what I think is a change in the right direction with the truck.
I painted the fire wall white. Now I need to decide on the color of the "steelies" I'm going to install. Let me know what yall think? White, Black, or Red ???

  18. I also just finished painting my chassis gloss black. It was to much red IMHO.... It's starting to look like something now. I will be so happy when I finally get rid of these fugly wheels...

I think red steelies with V8 caps would look great.

Man your truck looks better every time you change something. I like the new wheels but I think they would look better in cream or beige IMO. Do you want to sell the old headlights that you had on it?

Now take off the '28-29 (that's what they are) cowl lites and putt'm under the fender on the frame, if they are turn signals, and paint a carriage bolt to fill the hole, they are "70's resto rod" They are "old man stuff" and I am 70, my.02 cents.

Does the bed have wood on the side,? burn it, paint looks better IMO.

Love Model A trucks, but don't fit in 'em very long.

what are those thingies below the grille?

  30. I will be removing those cowl lights in the near future. Just was trying to find a way to plug the holes and you solved that issue...

Can't really get rid of the bed side wood because they have it glued on.
Although I would love to get it off if anyone has any ideas???

And those things below the grille are the turn signals.
