that Austin has gone to a friend of mine,,, i now have another ulster austin 7 which needs to be done as soon as the jappic is finished,,

the belly pan made the old austin much nicer both in terms looks and driving it was certainly quieter and rattle free

Fascinating, wooden chassis, not a suspension spring to be seen, - it must be a species of buckboard. First time I've seen a three wheeled one though :)

We had a really stormy Winter with heavy rain which caused our broadband link to go down. The problem has only been finally sorted out this week which is why I haven't been around for such a long time.
It's good to be back, - so many new cars, - the little Morgan replica built by PBrown is amazing and Ade now has a completed chassis to wave around above his head :)

I really like French three wheeled cyclecars and voiturettes; Villard, Colombe, Monet-Goyon, Cyc-Auto........ it's all good :D

I seem to imagine that being the same basic design as the BMW F76 / F79 referred to in Post 3670.

Correction: I see a chain there. The BMW was shaft-driven.

The engine position on the Atomette has always seemed a poor choice to me. Behind the seat back it's going to have limited cooling and after a few miles the seat back itself is going to become uncomfortably hot,

Bramhan cyclecar 1922. Sorry I don't have any more information about this cyclecar, but it does seem to have a lot in common with Villard cyclecars.

    (From Wikipedia)
The Cambro was a very basic British three-wheeled, single-seat cyclecar made in 1920 and 1921 by the Central Aircraft Company of Northolt, Middlesex.
The car was designed by magazine editor F.J. Camm and G.A. Broomfield and powered by an air-cooled Johnson 192 cc two-stroke flat twin engine, driving the single rear wheel by a chain. The engine was more commonly found in outboard motors and mopeds. There was no reverse, but a free wheel mechanism was fitted to help manoeuvring the machine by hand.

I worked on the photo a little to enlarge and clarify it.
