New question going with a newer 5sd Transmission the input shaft will not be a 10 spline so I have to change the flywheel and clutch so which one are you using or which one would you go with ?

I am going to ***ume that the 347 is 302 based, which could be a 28-oz. or a 50-oz. balance flywheel. If it is late-style, it is probably a 10-1/2" clutch. In that case, pick your favorite, from the equivalent era Mustang. If it is based on an early style SBF, you may have to check the diameter, but again, once confirmed, any reputable supplier of clutches/discs should be good.

My application isn't applicable here. I machined and tapped my stepped flywheel to accept a Mercedes pressure plate, and a Diesel Jeep disc.

Oh and the whole flywheel tooth count/diameter/bellhousing/block plate/starter all matching thing, must be minded, too. Mix-and-match does not always work.

Ernie, just to be clear, you're saying the shifting was night and day better with the ATF?

    Thanks.

Yep. Much better with the ATF - smoother, quicker shifts.
