We Love Sedan Deliveries

Love the Sedan Deliveries!!!! I hope to own one someday.

 

Sedan deliveries rock. There was a guy on the old Gasser Madness site (which I greatly miss, RIP Byron) who built this '37-'38 Willys out of a sedan. I kick myself for not pulling the trigger on this one when it came on the market back in the early '00's.

 

There were several Willys Deliveries built from Willys sedans like this. I know of one in SE MI with a B block Mopar, but there are others. The one I am thinking of has a '39 Overland nose, but I could be wrong.

I always loved sedan deliveries,as a kid our family's only means of transportation was a '52 Ford sedan delivery followed by a '56 Chevy sedan delivery. HRP

 

I found this one somewhat locally thanks to a friend. It appears it has been in this area since new. The signage seems to suggest that is the case as the businees that is on it is from before 1934. Rod

Absolutely not, in fact, I've never seen that movie! Mine is pale yellow, unlettered, stock body, 300HP 327 short block with a cam change and 1.94 Camel hump heads, headers, dual point distributor, single plane Weiand intake with a 600 Holley, close ratio Muncie 4-speed, and 4.88 Positraction. 7k RPM easily, and breaks the fat tires loose on those gear changes. 100% old school. I may put in a built 283 and aluminum Powerglide for nostalgia type racing, or go with my "good" 327 and 2.64 first gear Borg Warner Super T-10 4-speed. I'm turning 62 in a couple of days, and still don't have this out of my system! Just got back from the Arlington Dragstrip Reunion and Car Show. To only relive those days.......... The two that always looked good to me are the 1954 Chevy and 1940 Ford. Bob

 

There's just something about a vehicle that you know has worked hard and maybe had a pretty tough life. It kinda gives the car a certain bit of soul .

I wanted one of these a really long time and finally got this one last year.

 

This is my 41'........Running around south Texas......Ford industrial blue with traditional flames........It's been on the road for 15 years with super bell and posies in front and SBC/th350. Wheels are PS Engineering............

Bought my 1960 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery in 1971 for $25,drove it for 1 1/2 years as a beater than in 1973 did the paint and body work to what you see now. Specs. ps,pdb,400 turbo,482 fuel injected Cadillac,heat&air,cruise,tilt wheel. 42 years I have been the keeper of this Delivery and plan on many more years!

 

I have a thing for the 58' DelRey delivery...

The headlamp surrounds may be confusing you . They are '39 . The grille, hood and where the Wipers are ( below the windshield ) all say it's '40-'41 .

Our 37 Chevy Delivery from Texas that I designed and built in the 80's. Turned it into a fun family cruising window delivery. Sold to a guy in Indiana then saw it several years later for sale in California. Not sure where it is now.
