Out of curiosity, do you live in the Union area?

I used to live in that neck of the woods myself - Villa Ridge.

The last time this truck will be seen in primer. Let the sanding begin as well as more HP.

No kidding! I think it looks great as it is!

  8. It does look great, but shopdawg just really likes sanding.

The black coe cab and chassis is an IHC D300 with a very interesting story.

Sorry for the bad pictures I'm in a tight spot, but here are some pictures of my new wheels and tires.

Looks good, EXCEPT for the wheels. Don't fit here.

I hate to criticize, but I have to agree on the wheels, and the spiked lugs really have to go. They make the truck look like it came from a "Mad Max" "Road Warrior" movie!

I Like the wheels but this is a billet free zone. Had the same type look on my 71 Winnebago Chieftain RV except for the spikes. Its your COE, do what you like.

I want a White tractor just like that. A fire truck would do just as well.

Yea it might be a little "Mad Maxy" but the spikes are just push on covers that can be easy replaced for something less over the top, it's a father and son project and my son though they would look cool so we went with it, I also think it's cool when you're standing next to it in person it looks******in. We're just trying to do something different to get away from the same boring***** we see everyday.

One thing you should remember before posting here is that the HAMB is a site for Traditional Hot Rods and Customs and is governed by Ryan's rules that are posted at the top of each forum. You might like the Mad Max look but it isn't appropriate on this forum.

  21. Not sure if joking or not.

If serious, then I have a problem with everything about that post.

Gotta shot at another COE, Kind of on the fence, missing a RH fender and is pretty rusty. Would just pass it along if I get it, anyone building these?

Last time I checked this is a COE thread, correct me if I'm wrong but my 1946 Ford Cab Over Engine falls in the category of COE regardless of what wheels it has. It's not a rat rod it's a working progress and far from being done. Just because someone don't like the style I'm going for doesn't mine it don't belong here, everybody is in****led to there opinion but that not going change mine. I will keep updating with new pictures whenever I can.:D:D:D

  24. The someone that doesn't like your style is Ryan, he owns the sight, so if you have a problem with us for saying it doesn't belong here, take it up with him or his moderators.

JC, thank goodness we all like different taste in cars or we would have 32 fords or factory 5 plastic put puts . Anyway the fun is building something that is in your mind , like Frankinstein .

That's all I'm saying we have to think out side the box, that's what is hobby (love affair) is all about. I don't want to piss anybody off all I wanted was to post a few pictures of the project that my son and I have been working on but I guess not everybody appreciates the time and hard work that has gone in to the project and trying to keep this awesome hobby alive and the great relationships it has help bond between father and son for generations. Well enough of this nonsense it isn't about me, keep the awesome pictures coming, love the thread.

JCsnub, I'll agree with the others about your choice of wheel nut covers not being what most like. But then you have created conversation about being and doing something different and that is what this (car hobby) is all about. Otherwise this forum would not exist and we would all be driving the same little red Hyundai. Mind you if I put those wheel nut covers on a vehicle here the Police would have me remove them.

I also agree you have a project and it is far from finished so lets see how you progress and how you build your COE.

    FYI

The beverage truck chassis has lower frame rails. I have been told that they are very desirable for rollback car haulers. Compare beverage truck chassis in the top pic with the tractor in the bottom pic.

Letting the mods decide is the way unless they've recruited a bunch more since the 'change'

I'm guessing JC you're pretty local to me in Alberta cos I've seen your COE several times.
