Anybody have any clue as to what this thing is? Or at least was? Very intriguing vehicle...

Oh well,i was after a 48/50's chev, mainly coz I just love the front on these, but I stumbled on a 49 ford coe in Oregon, that was just too good to refuse,it's an old wrecker, but it's in good nic, orig f/head still runs ok,anyway I have to get it here and start making plans.
Q/S. Has anyone put a chev 49/50's,fenders and grill on a 49ford coe, looking at pics of both i'm thinking it's possible.I intend building a rollback using a chev c30 chassis and susp/n,thanks Gaz!

A 49 ford coe is a nice looking truck, if you want a chevy I'm sure you could resell the ford for plenty enough to buy a chevy.

  4. I would wait and buy the truck I wanted rather than butcher two trucks to end up with a mess. IMHO half ford, half chev would be a mess!

Yeah if you want a chevy hold out. The amont of time and frustration to make a ford look like a chevy will most likely break you. You'll end up with a project you no longer have interest in and can't sell. Trust me I've done it before don't settle. Cheap or free doesn't work out unless it's exactly what you want. Lots of tin out there be patient and wait for the right one. It will pay off in dividends! :)

Just picked up this 36 Dodge out in Vegas ! Truck was up in the Oregon area and down a lot in southern Cal. It had headlights in the fenders maybe Lexus and it was yellow ???? Any pics?? Like any vehicle, things to fix better. and repair stuff thats old and worn !

  12. Better double check your****le and serial number, that ain't a '36 Dodge! Oldest it can be is '39
    Otherwise a sweet looking truck.

That definitely has the makings of a good project. I hope you start a build thread for it.

Dude, I was hanging in Vegas yesterday and a buddy was just telling me about this COE. Glad to see its in good hands. Post more pics, I understand its chopped, sectioned and narrowed and fits in a regular single car garage!

  19. 46 sounds much more realistic! Once again, sweet truck. Hope mine looks that good when finished.

COE's are very rare over here in The Netherlands.

Agreed. Still, it parallels my upcoming build pretty closely: motorhome chassis,****mins behind the cab, auto trans, but with a '54 Chevy cab.
