Mickey Hargitay and Jayne Mansfield. They were married. Gotta say I love the idea of Reagan and Mansfield... she'd have been a GREAT First Lady! :D

I you look close at the 37 Ford it has a 1942 Kansas license plate. The plate has painted sunflowers in both the lower corners.

    Hey Rod,
I have no doubt you're right - I must admit I was kinda guessing about the year - I couldn't decide whether to put in 71 or 72, so you've probably nailed it.
I've got an XW GT that was reg'd in late 70 - the rego was KRS something (I think) (now personal rego), and I thought the L regs came in in 72.
    Ahhhh well.
    Anyway, thanks for clarifying.
    Cheers.

Jayne and Ronald Reagan are together here, but Mickey Rooney gets the best line:

But why did she marry Mickey? Well...

That's because, unlike now, the future looked brighter, the pursuit of wealth and happiness was encouraged not discouraged or even despised.

It's all about mood and attitude.

I used to go to a fine establishment in Fort Walton Beach, Florida called "Carmichaels Academy of Cultural Anatomy' Really! they would often hand out diplomas. It was quite a place actually.

Many of those little electric cars I have never heard of before.

Looking a many of the the cars from years ago reminds me of how much style and class they used to have.

Back then cars were almost like artwork with all the chrome and big fenders and they just really looked like something you would want to keep for years to come.

I guess classic looks and real style last forever. Jimbo
