The magazine was a couple months ago (traditional Rod and Kulture) you can check thier website they may sell older issues.

Hey Guys, work is going well on my chopped 48 Ford, I need to ask a newb question... are the rear fenders off a 1948 ford 4door the same as a coupe?? I have a 4door parts car, rear fenders are in better shape than my coupe ones, id do a simple unbolt and swap to try but the rear fenders are moulded to the body so its going to take a bit of work. Dont want to get into it and find out the 4door fenders are different.

The fenders are the same. They will bolt right on.

Rad- nice snag, you lucky dog! I want a 46-48 so bad, but it's gonna have to wait another year, more than likely. Is that an old Porsche in the garage to the left?

 

skoh73- The guy I bought it from had two more in his garage that is going to be selling also. They are in way better shape than mine, asking more money of course. One has a three inch chop with gutters shaved, can't remember the year of that one but the other is a '47.

Yes that's a '57 356 beside it.

 

Heres mine. 41 with 46 fenders. Its on a 80 Montecarlo frame. I plan on changing that.

I have a '41 'vert with a '47 nose on Monte suspension and it drives great.I won't change mine.

 

My 41 short door part way through its chop, got most of it in place and tacked lots still to sort out. Sorry for the crappy pictures I can only get about 2 feet back from the car. This thread has been a real inspiration thanks to all who posted this pushed me on to get on with mine.

PFF and Whynot I like the fact that you both kept the drip rail. PPF is it the picture or do the quarter windows come to a point at the back?

 

Phat Rat, yes they come to a point I tried to form a tight radius so that all the corners were uniform but had no joy. I'm not happy with this at present so will work on making a knocking block to make a piece to let in.
