What color?

  1. its funny. this comment coming from you...with the car in your avitar...

    and the fact he said less then perfect. meaning probably not nice. or maybe its just me but i would think when someone says less then perfect. its probably not gona be nice. no offence to BLUDICE.

    When I say Patina this is what I mean. It is not easy but it is done the way it should be.

    Nice, that trick is mostly used for furniture, is cleared or just waxed?

    On topic white hides alot..

  5. ive cleared my red oxide.it came out a melted hershey chocolate brown.and it did not crack at all.it looked great.

    This one I believe was done by the Rolling Bones guys. My cousin did a Brookville Roadster that looked something like this one. I do not have photos of it. It is time consuming for sure.

  10. To add to my previous post, I'd say less than perfect decribes most of us here who are doing thier own paint and prep work. Just spend lots of time priming and blocking it and you'll be happy with the results, and have the satisfaction of saying " I did " when someone asks who did the paint work. It took me a couple of months of 3 or 4 evenings a week to get mine ready to paint, and while not " perfect " I'm happy.
