I counted 4 Brad the only one other than our group that fit the rules you posted (and I posted them on here for every one to see) was the white henry J he fit the rules.

 

And Brad,I'm not bashing you in any way.I know that running the track must be one huge juggling act,and if something gets missed once in a while...well,we can't be everywhere at once.

I've not read every post in here, but I don't remember reading the word "chickenshit" in anyone's posts.
What I'm seeing now is people stirring shit just to keep piling on and stirring it.

Hell, I thank ever sole that contributed to the event in any way! That includes you and every other person that brought a car out. Plus the show car folks, swap meet folks, hell even I contributed.

So thanks to everyone. I apologize, I didn't realize a special thanks was in order on a individual bases. But if one will help put this to bed here it is, thanks Quain for being a part of the show.

I'm all for that.This is supposed to be a gasser thread,so let's not allow an "expert" to monopolize the entire thread and drive away the people with real knowledge of how the cars were built and run in the past,and how they are being built and run now.

Quain, I had not said another word about it and moved on days ago.

But some of your fan club insist on keep bring it back up. I have nothing against you personally, hell I don't know you personally and you don't know me.

I don't think anyone is a bad parson in the deal. I have previously said I didn't feel some of the cars met the spec for the class they were entered. You have made it clear that you guys made concessions and ran outside the class to the benefit of the fans. I don't disagree with that at all and appreciate it.

Hell our only disagreement is that I would have been hard headed enough that if a damn top fuel rail had show up in the other lane I wouldn't have pulled out. As you are so hard headed that you pulled out. So the only thing we disagree on is how we dealt with the circumstance. That's it!

I'm the kind of guy that if someone kicks my ass, they are going to have to kick my ass every time they see me. Hell what's the worst that can happen, I keep getting my ass kicked. Sooner of later they are going to get tired of kicking my ass and I win!

Help a hard head like me try to better understand how you handled it. Please explain to me the worst thing that could have happen if you guys had keep running as originally set out?

Or if you prefer to simple say let just move on that's cool with me as well.

Alright Good idea Brad. My computers took a dive today so I could play hooky from work awhile. Trying to make room in the shop so I can get some work done this winter and stumbled on these Old Pontiac pigs. Threw them by the engine and figured when the pile of parts gets big enough it may be time to assemble a car. Guess which one is the 5.57 gear and which is the 3.23. The 5.57 gear is allegedly from Nicholsons Z11 but did not pay a dime more for the story and stories are a dime a dozen, like those SOHC Fords (or maybe I shouldn't have said that).-Jim

 

One thing I gotta have is a name for the car that has not been used, or at least not famous even if it's a bit cliche'. Example "Saturday Night Special".
