Can you offer some help identifying these. They are smaller than all my Chrysler stuff. Thanks Casting #s on the rocker stands are 56 on one side and d16 on the other.
i measured my rocker assembly , and it measures 17 1/2 , bolt hole to bolt hole , and mine is a desoto 330 , 1956 . so it must be a dodge !
The ones shown are Desoto. 17 1/4 center to center on the bolt holes. 4 1/2 inches across bolt holes. Dodge is 16 3/4 end to end and 4 3/8 across. Also, the Dodge intake arms are machined on one side of the push rod end to clear the spark plug tubes.
Dodge rockers fit all Dodges. Desoto rockers fit all Desotos. Dodge intake rocker on the left. Desoto and Chrysler on the right.
Not to hijack this thread but can the desoto rockers be made to fit dodges? The reason i ask is because all i have are dodge hemis, i am currently cleaning a rocker set that came off of a dodge. I took the engine apart so i know that they were on there. However after measuring the shafts for my response above they appear to be the same size as the desoto and according to TRs pic they have the desoto rockers. This engine was a pieced together poly into hemi with a bunch of bent push rods and bored .060 over but had std. Marked pistons. The engin was not running when i got it and was in pretty sorry shape. Just curious Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
The Desoto intake rockers will physically fit the Dodge shafts, but the push rod end of the rocker arm will hit the spark plug tubes.
