I know this is panel truck, not sedan delivery. But I think its a 35? What do u guys think? Found in field, can't find title. But any Hambers got some info (pics) of panel trucks like this done?
Was pretty cut up in 70's & majorly weathered in field. Can't qualify as 'barn find'-- maybe 'field rescue' .

I've loved sedan deliveries since high school when I "made" one out of an O.T. two door wagon by painting the side glass black. Man did I have fun in that car!
Would photoshopped versions be okay to post? I have a couple of 'em.

  3. There's a thread here on deliveries that might be of some help in your quest.

HANDYMAN wagons have a one piece tailgate as well.

  5. Thanks for that .... now I feel special with my fifty nine!

BLACK62 Have you got a link for that Handyman claim? ... I have never heard of that before. People will clone a sedan delivery and the rear hatch is the give-away.

  6. Handyman wagon...looks two piece to me:

  8. Hopefully Rare57 can post a shot of the rear of his windowed SD.

I found this image here on the HAMB, but I can't verify that it's an original one. Note lack of hinges at the bottom of the 'gate, indicating a one-piece door.

simply seeking clarification , I had a 56 Handyman with the one piece tailgate and fold down rear seat--- my 57 delivery had no provisions for a rear seat...

  12. There were a lot of oddities made for the government/military. One year we were coming home after the Indy Nationals (that was only NHRA Nationals at the time) and stopped in a gas station near the Bunker Hill Air Force base. There was a Valiant bodied sedan delivery there all decked out in Air Force blue paint with USAF identification. I thought it was odd so I checked when I got home and found no information that any such vehicles were produced..... but it was there no matter what the records showed.

  13. I can only speak for the 59. The rear seat out of a wagon bolts right in ... and that is what I have, done by previous owner. The cowl tag lists an "auxiliary seat" option which is actually a front split bench seat upgrade ... the basic delivery was just a single bucket seat for the driver.

  14. Hey slammed ... I can't seem to copy the pic but the 59 in the wrecking yard is from Arizona ... the guy was trying to peddle it a few years ago. You got a update? ... did it sale?

Likely it moved, they seem to push 'em through the process, find them, sell or part them quickly. World wide.

  23. Probably the most famous Delivery in drag racing, along with Cureton's.

  24. This one was at Day of the Drags this past weekend.

  26. I seriously lust after '56 Chevy's (even though I'm a Ford guy) and would really like to build something like this.

Was not a factory car. Either a windowed sedan delivery with a rear seat added after the fact, or a Handyman with the rear hatch added after the fact.

  29. Here's two pictures of the Forest Service windowed delivery.
